Whistlestop tour draws to an end....

So 2011 has been ushered in. I am keeping a record of the number of "get fit" or "workout" DVDs that will be advertised over the coming weeks.  I've counted 7 so far.

This year actually looks to be a very productive year especially in India.  As if the opening of the Swaminarayan Museum is not enough, the ICC Cricket World Cup will be taking place during the months of February and March as well as seeing the debut of F1 India

Over the last week, the UK has been graced with the divine presence of His Holiness Acharaya Maharajshree.  Along with some of Kalupur mandir's great saints, Baapji was in the UK to promote the museum and more importantly raise awareness of it's eco-friendly drive and ambition to leave a legacy for the Sampraday.

Baapji visited a majority of UK temples to the delight of thousands of devotees.  His Holiness graced various sabhas and personally invited everyone to come and enjoy the utsav.  In addition, out of the great kindness of their hearts, devotees also made very generous contributions to the project. Baapji was genuinely moved by the efforts made by the followers.  Just knowing the museum can count on the resounding support of all of Swaminarayan Bhagwan's devotees worldwide was enough to ensure He can take back some fantastic news for Mota Baapji, who I'm sure will also be very touched by the dedication shown here.

It has been a long and tiring trip for His Holiness, however most importantly it has been a very productive trip.  The monetary contributions aside, the immense belief and faith shown by everyone in the UK for this project and the mark it will leave has been nothing short of amazing.  2010 marked the Golden Jubilee of the state of Gujarat.  The state government requested what's called a "Swarnim" or pledge from all of Gujerat's citizens to do something no matter how small and contribute to the growth of this grand state. Many oversees Gujaratis over the past week have taken their own pledge to ensure the museum will truly be an iconic beacon for India.
